Born in Kashmir; Graduate of National School of Drama, New Delhi and Post Graduatie in Classical acting and Acting instruction from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts), London. He worked with reputed theatre companies like Oxfordshire theatre Company- Oxford, Flying Fish Theatre Company- Berlin etc. He has done plays for BBC worldwide and National Theatre, Mannheim/Germany etc. He has acted under the direction of various Indian and foreign theatre and film luminaries and conducted workshops on variousaspects of acting in England, Germany, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Nepal, Jordan, Pakistan and India.In 2007, he established Theatre Garage Project (Not for profit company). He is widely known in India for his work on 'Red Nose Clowning' theatre form. Theatre Garage project hascollaborations with prestigious organisations- Goethe Insitute, British Council, Clowns without Borders-USA, Red Noses Vienna. He has worked with clowns from various parts of the world.Apart from instruction, he regularly performs his one man show 'A rendezvous with Manto'.
